Single-point slings\, or slings that do not provide much control of the muzzle\, are highly discouraged.\nGuns must remain holstered or bagged\, and completely unloaded on the range until instructed to do so at the firing line.\nEye and ear protection is required. \n4 stages\nStages will be active\, with moving and shooting. Fingers MUST remain off the trigger\, and rifle safeties engaged when moving. Stages will be timed\, but the emphasis will be on being SAFE\, sharpening your shooting skills\, and having a good time with fellow shooters. The spirit of the event will be to prioritize accuracy over speed and treat the stages as if they were realistic defensive training scenarios. \nDivisions: \n\nOpen: Any optic on rifle and pistol allowed\, no equipment limitations. Center fire rifle and pistol. Target distances can be up to 500 yards.\nLimited: Any optic on rifle\, iron sights only on pistol. Pistol is limited to 10 rounds loaded per mag (mags can be any capacity). Center fire rifle and pistol. Target distances can be up to 500 yards.\nRimfire: Both rimfire rifle and pistol required. All optics/equipment allowed. Target distances can be up to 150 yards.\nPCC: Pistol caliber carbine and center fire pistol. All optics/equipment allowed. DESCRIPTION:Stillwater Rifle & Pistol Club is hosting a CMP-sanctioned Precision Pistol match. This is an 1800 outdoor match. All shots are fired at 25 yards. \nDate and Time \n\nSept. 20\, 2025\nFiring starts at 9:00 am. Please arrive no later than 8:15 am.\n\nMatch Rules \n\nThe 27th edition of CMP Pistol Competition Rules will be applied. The rule book is available at https://thecmp.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/2024-Pistol-Rules.pdf.\n\nRegistration \n\nEntries are limited to 12 competitors.\nPlease pre-register by writing to youngchang07@gmail.com\, phoyausa@gmail.com\, and srpcsecretary@gmail.com at least three days before the event.\n\nLocation: The SR&PC range is on the west side of Lake McMurtry. You do not need to stop at the gate (N36.1797° W97.1942°) if you are coming to attend the match. \nEntry Fee: $10 \nCourse of Fire \n\n.22 Rimfire match (90 shots)\n– Stage 1 – Slow fire (B16 targets at 25 yards). Ten shots in 10 minutes\, total 20 shots\, scoring after each 10 shots.\n– Stage 2 – National Match Course\, which consists of slow fire (10 shots)\, timed fire (10 shots)\, and rapid fire (10 shots). Total 30 shots\, scoring after each 10 shots.\n– Stage 3 – Timed fire. Five shots in 20 seconds\, total 20 shots\, scoring after each 10 shots.\n– Stage 4 – Rapid fire. Five shots in 10 seconds\, total 20 shots\, scoring after each 10 shots.\nCenterfire match (90 shots)\n– Same as for .22 Rimfire match\n\nFirearms and Ammunition \n\n.22 Rimfire\n– Any .22 rimfire semi-auto or revolver. For revolvers\, the barrel length including cylinder should not exceed 10 inches.\n– Any sights are allowed (iron\, red dot\, scope\, etc.).\n– Minimum trigger pull weight: 2.0 lb\n– The projectile must be lead or similar soft material\, and its weight must not exceed 40 grains.\nCenterfire\n– Any semi-auto or revolver chambered with any handgun cartridge larger than 22 caliber up to 45 caliber.\n– Any sights are allowed (iron\, red dot\, scope\, etc.).\n– Minimum trigger pull weight\n– 2.5 lb for center-fire semi-autos with any caliber larger than .22 and less than .45\n– 2.5 lb for center-fire revolvers regardless of caliber\n– 3.5 lb for 45 caliber semi-autos\n\nEmpty Chamber Indicator (ECI): An empty chamber indicator is required to indicate that the slide is open and the chamber is empty or the cylinder is out. \nNotes: \n\nWe do not have turning targets; we will use a sound system for timed and rapid fire strings.\nFor additional information please write to youngchang07@gmail.com or phoyausa@gmail.com.
