First Steps Pistol Orientation Course
Introduction
Stillwater Rifle & Pistol Club (SR&PC) offers a free pistol course that will benefit everyone regardless of his or her level of shooting experience. The course is taught by a team of NRA- certified instructors. The curriculum is based on the NRA First Steps Pistol Orientation course. It was revised, however, to make it helpful to not only new shooters but also experienced shooters. New shooters will learn how to safely handle pistols and shoot accurately in a comfortable and efficient way. Experienced shooters will be shooting a more challenging live fire course depending on his or her level of proficiency. It is recommended to repeat the course multiple times. Everyone who has successfully completed the course will receive a certificate from the NRA. The class is limited to ten students, and its duration is approximately three hours.

Finding the range
If this is your first visit, read this before you set off.
West side of Lake McMurtry, Stillwater, Oklahoma
The range has no street address and the gate is kept locked. Drive to the coordinates rather than searching for the club by name. The last leg is north on N3260 Road, turning off Bronco Road, where there is a club sign. N3260 dead-ends at the range about a quarter of a mile up, with the gate on your left.
